The SAT in a nutshell
1- When you arrive at the exam, the
instructions, duration and conditions of each section should already be known
in advance. In this way you will start gaining time that you will dedicate to
read and answer each question.
2- Keep your time clocked. It is very easy
to lose seconds and minutes because a question delays you, so it is best to
have a clock with which you constantly measure how much time you have in each
section. Aim to answer each question using a maximum of one minute.
3- Everything you do prior to taking the
exam should be aimed at creating your rate of response and progress, coupled
with the time available for each section of the exam. That way you can feel a
little more comfortable when the actual exam comes around.
4-Learning from your mistakes will help you
not to repeat them. Dissect the error, find out where you went wrong,
understand why you chose the wrong answer and why another one must be the
correct one.
5- Answering a higher percentage of
questions correctly, even if you don't answer all of them, in the end will give
you a better score than having answered one hundred percent of the questions
with fifty percent certainty. You can guess some answers because a bad choice
is not penalized, but don't abuse this tactic.
6- In the different sections of the SAT
exam you must apply a rhythm strategy that will allow you to save time and save
it as much as possible, it is about answering the easiest questions first and
answering those that represent the most difficulty in the background. To avoid
leaving questions unanswered, you can mark the pending questions to be answered
on the sheet and return to them when you finish with the easiest ones. Remember
that they all have the same point value, so get the easiest ones first.

determine why that should not be the answer. The result will be that you find
the correct answer in an obvious way.

raised in the exam, in a quick glance it confirms that you did not have any
option left without answering adequately.
9- Fill in each oval correctly, in such a
way that the machine that makes the revisions does not take as valid an answer
that is incorrect because you marked it and then carelessly erased it.
10- As you are in the mood to save time to
use it to answer each question with full confidence, you can mark the options
that you think are correct on the test sheet and only at the end transfer each
one to the answer sheet. Do not be afraid to scratch your test sheet, use it to
support you with notes, calculations, etc.
Reading comprehension

completely unaware of it, think about the context, or even the connotation of
the word, this will give you a clue to discover the correct answer.
12- Read each question with interest, you
may believe that each one has something new to teach you. Seen this way, you
keep investing in your knowledge. Reading with boredom or reluctance can lead
you to lose concentration and nobody wants that.
13- The passages have the information you
need but you don't have to read them all. However, it would be unforgivable if
you let important information pass without paying attention to it, in a passage
the introduction is that kind of information so you cannot put it aside, then
you must read the conclusion and the first and last lines of the text. This
will give you a general idea with which you can answer more general questions.
On the other hand, if you are one of those
who go to the questions first and then to the text, you should read a little
before and after the line indicated in the question, with that you also expand
the general idea of the text.
Finally, if you consider yourself an
experienced reader, you can read the text in its entirety, keeping in mind that
you must obtain the main idea in that first and only reading. Do not try to
memorize anything in this section of the test because it will lead to wasted
time.
14- Spend your time answering the
questions, not rereading and rereading the text, the key is there.
15- Support your answers with some evidence
in the text. Every response retains a link with some certainty within the

that do not lend themselves to an ambiguous interpretation and consider the
context of the information.

guarantee quick and better answers.
18- In the auto-complete questions, you can
answer first with your words and then confirm in the answer options which one
is closest to your first intuition. You can also discard an answer if the first
answer choice word bears no relation to the coherence of the overall sentence. Don't
neglect negative words or transition words.
19- Rhetorical questions usually have a
sequence, in which the grammar of a few sentences is first taken into account
and then a paragraph is inquired about the agreement of the sentences or the
style and tone of the author. Review the questions carefully and in this case,
read the paragraph in question carefully to mark the correct answer.
20- You must carefully read the
multiple-choice questions, in which you will be evaluated on writing sentences
and paragraphs. In advance you may have studied the basic scoring rules.
21- For questions that have several
grammatically correct answer options, take into account the most concise
answer, remember that the sentences that use fewer words and contain just the
most precise ones, are those of the correct answer.

analyze. It is about being clear about the opinion of the author of the text
and from there writing about how that author builds his argument. You will have
the opportunity to practice these analyzes in the SAT course , the training and
correction will allow you to be faster and more assertive to succeed in this
part of the exam. Avoid at all costs writing your opinion on the text read,
that is not what is put to the test.
23- Cultivate your vocabulary while
preparing for the SAT exam . The best image you can give of yourself is
precisely the use of academic language, careful, without jargon or inappropriate
words. Write it in the third person, that gives it the necessary aspect of
formality. And even if it is optional, try to write the essay, it is a good
demonstration of your command of the language that you should not miss.

you finish writing your essay, go back to it to check that everything has been
well written, without errors, each comma and each point in its respective
place.

your test to make notes and to do mathematical calculations. However, in the
same section you will be allowed to use a calculator, which improves the
chances of answering more accurately.

section you can get some easy points, because they do not contain much
difficulty. Of course, to advance quickly you must have memorized some formulas
that will help you in the questions with calculations, so you will not have to
go back to the formulas provided by the exam over and over again.
27- Because you can scratch on the test
sheet, do not miss the opportunity to underline parts of the question that are
key. In math calculation, this will allow you to stay focused on arriving at
the correct answer and not fall into the trap of the wrong option.
28- In the SAT course you can try solving these problems as many
times as necessary, until you record the required steps. So during the exam you
will be able to see first the results of the question and then the explanation
to answer the question exactly.
29- The practice of basic exercises will
make you develop the ability to solve them with increasing confidence. This
confidence will give you correct answers, and these answers will give you
points to add and pass your exam. This is why it is important to identify where
your weaknesses are and overcome them, doing so you will stop making common
mistakes.

calculator resource in the exercises that allow it, avoid playing riddles or
trying to make the resolutions manually. Take advantage of the resources you
have.

Writing
16- Above all, use terms that you know,
that do not lend themselves to an ambiguous interpretation and consider the
context of the information.
17- If you memorize grammatical rules, you
guarantee quick and better answers.
18- In the auto-complete questions, you can
answer first with your words and then confirm in the answer options which one
is closest to your first intuition. You can also discard an answer if the first
answer choice word bears no relation to the coherence of the overall sentence.
Don't neglect negative words or transition words.
22- In the essay, first read and then
analyze. It is about being clear about the opinion of the author of the text
and from there writing about how that author builds his argument. You will have
the opportunity to practice these analyzes in the SAT course , the training and
correction will allow you to be faster and more assertive to succeed in this part
of the exam. Avoid at all costs writing your opinion on the text read, that is
not what is put to the test.
23- Cultivate your vocabulary while
preparing for the SAT exam . The best image you can give of yourself is
precisely the use of academic language, careful, without jargon or
inappropriate words. Write it in the third person, that gives it the necessary
aspect of formality. And even if it is optional, try to write the essay, it is
a good demonstration of your command of the language that you should not miss.
24- Do not leave anything to chance. When
you finish writing your essay, go back to it to check that everything has been
well written, without errors, each comma and each point in its respective
place.
Mathematics
25- We return to this point: you can use
your test to make notes and to do mathematical calculations. However, in the
same section you will be allowed to use a calculator, which improves the
chances of answering more accurately.
26- With the first questions in this
section you can get some easy points, because they do not contain much
This is why it is important to identify where
your weaknesses are and overcome them, doing so you will stop making common
mistakes.
30- Finally, take advantage of the
calculator resource in the exercises that allow it, avoid playing riddles or
trying to make the resolutions manually. Take advantage of the resources you
have.
Even the advice for you to pass your SAT
exam with the best grades, the question now is what will you do with all this?
Every goal requires effort, perseverance and dedication, but also to ensure
meaningful and long-term learning, it requires the company of professionals to
help you prepare for this exam.
